I've now found Edith Florence Johnstone on the 1901 census as a female warder at Holloway Prison. Her first name had been mis-transcribed as 'North'!!! |

That's right Mary. However, There's no record of her birth or in the 1881 or 1891 censuses. As she was single in 1901 it looks like Johnstone was her birth name and I've tried all sorts of variants. |
