Is there a list somewhere? I am trying to find out if there was a divorce listed between Charles Joseph Horn and Edith Emily Horn of Portsmouth in the period 1935 to 1944 or if I have yet another case of bigamy. |

Yes but where I looked it said only up to 1937. I just want to know if their names are on a list which will rule the bigamy out!!!! |

Unfortunately the NA point out that after 1937, the survival rate of divorce case files is less than 0.2%, so doesn't look too promising. |

It costs around £40 for the principal registry to carry out a 10 year search for the divorce. This money is not returned if they can't find the divorce. |

Would be cheaper to buy the later marriage certificate and check the marital status (I know they may have lied though) and that the person involved was the same person as in the first marriage. Could there just be a coincidence in the names? |
