remnants of birth certificate!

HELP PLEASE have only 2 bits of birth certificate of a child son of Joseph Leslie Cain on 10 Jun 1947 Portsmouth South.We do not have the mother or childs name so how do I trace this relation??/Any help most gratefully recieved Thanks |

NB I'm guessing you only have the last half of b.cert, so 10/1/1947 will not be the dob, but rather the date of registration. |
