Well, that's why I asked Angeline to send me the name by pm, so I could check on ancestry.

I have just checked my own immediate family births and they are all there, right up to 2006, so somethings are working.

I believe GR DO now have fully indexed birth records:-

"We are pleased to announce that fully indexed marriage records are now available on Genes Reunited! No more trawling through pages of names, get individual results! And for marriages after March 1912, you will also be able to see the spouse's surname.

Non indexed marriage records are now also included in your Standard subscription, so if you are a standard member, you can see the non indexed marriage records for free. "

for one, I don't trust this site

you see only the INDEX, which gives you births for (eg) Smith - Start for a quarter, and then you have to search through all pages shown

We all use either www.freebmd.org.uk, from July 1 1837 to currently ca 1950

OR www.ancestry.co.uk for later registrations.

freebmd is free, but ancestry is subscription

If you want to send me a pm with the name, I'll check on ancestry

DON"T post the name on ehre ........ not wise with a livng person.

Hi can anyone help. I have a birth cert of person born 1968, looked it up the birth index on here and this persons birth is not there, no entry whats so ever. Looked up all births with the same surname and still nothing, all the others I know of are on the birth index but not this 1 person. Strange could there be a mistake with the uploading of doc's, if anyone has any thoughts please reply, thanks
