In the 1841 Census a policy of rounding down ages was in place. |

Personally i would round both up and down if no joy finding who you are looking for - might pay off if my ancestors are anything to go by! |

I agree PigletsPal - most of mine have "odd" ages, just inaccurate rather than rounded down. I just widen the search till they hopefully turn up. Nobody has gone astray by 11 years though! |
