Snagit Screen Capture Software

One piece of software I find very useful for genealogy is a screen capture program. This allows one to take a snapshot of an area of your screen and is great for example when someone is kind enough to post details of a census page you are looking for. There are plenty of good programs out there some of which are free, but for Windows the commercial program that I use and is generally considered the class leader is SnagIt v10. |

PP Yes as with most tasks Windows comes complete with in integrated option the Print Screen command which does screen capture in a basic way which is probably OK for light users. |
