Deaths registered before April 1st 1969 didn't have a column for date of birth. |

Looking at the death indices on Ancestry it seems that the date of birth is usually given in the index from 1969 onwards - no need to buy the certificate for DoB. |

Unlike birth certificates, there is no such thing a a 'long' or 'short' version. |

I have a death certificate though for my great grandfather which shows his date of birth and place of birth which is more detailed. I was just wondering how you can get hold of these more detailed death certificates. |

Hello I have just received a death certificate for an ancestor but it was not what I expected, it is short certificate which only shows where my ancestor died, when and why and did not tell me where she was born and when which is why I needed it. I was just wondering how can you get a full death certificate which says where the deceased was born and when etc. |
