its worth getting them. Mine confirmed what i had been told in a way. it also clears up any family stories. Mine confirmed that he was a prisoner of war and it also told me that after they were released, unfortunately he died from the spanish flu that killed thousands of people after the 1st world war. |

I believe that death certificates were issued for soldiers killed in action but they do not appear in the normal index. I also understand that they do not usually contain much specific information other than "Died of wounds" ect. |
