If I'm looking at the right 61 census they were in Liverpool not Cumberland. However it says that both Robert & Ann were born Cumberland.

Couldn't make head nor tail of this either so looked for a marriage of Robert Taggart. This must be it:

Marriages Dec 1850 (>99%)

This is a bit confusing. Were they married, so her name was Ann Taggart?
Would you switch off caps lock please, makes it harder to read.

BOTH DOWN ON THE 1861 CENSUS CUMBERLAND..... ALSO ANN CONN WAS DOWN AS A WIDOW ON THE 1871 CENSUS UNABLE TO FIND DEATH OF ROBERT TAGGART
