Is it possible to allow someone who does not subscribe to GR, to access my tree. Something like a guest pass ? |

The only way I can think of is to allow them access to your account. |

Brian, you could export your tree to a GED file and then the person in question can view the data with a GED file viewer. |

No not a good idea at all. Being too free and easy with details such as log-ins, passwords and pins is the biggest single contributor to identity theft. |

I actually send myself a Gedcom then forward the email. |

Thankyou all for your help and ideas. The person I want to see the info is a newfound relative and I'm not sure of their capabilities yet. I'm not too savvy myself, but I'll work with these suggestions. Thanks much, Brian |

Brian - I agree with IPG - I have a tree on Tribal pages for that purpose. I imported the gedcom from GR. This way I can either print 3 generation reports and forward by e-mail or copy and paste on to en e-mail or document for forwarding. Notes that you want the other person to have can just be copied and inserted. However, if you add anything on Tribal you cannot send it back to GR but you can always replace and update at anytime from GR or other applications that use gedcom. |
