You could try on a free parish recs site if you know fathers name, and that might tell give you a more exact date? |

sorry Yummy Mummy but the GRO no longer do reference checks .They withdrew it when they put the price of certs up to £9.25 |

When I rang the bury st edmunds register office with the same problem, they said to include a letter with any info I had and if it didn't match they would return my cheque. Maybe if you know which office you could call and ask if they would do the same, using fathers name as a reference. |
