Change of birth name

You would have to search using the birth name. If the person is looking for their birth family this is the name they would use. There is a national adoption register (just google it) for just this purpose. |

The surname would automatically change to that of the adoptive parents. |

Hi! I am trying to trace a relative who was adopted at birth. I have been told there is a good chance that the relative may have had their name changed by the adoptive parents. Is there any way of finding this out? Any assistance would be much appreciated. |
