There's also www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues, which I have only used for R.A.F. in W.W.1, but I'm sure there must be more on there. |

I joined and received my library card within a week. It's great as I can trawl through so many newspapers free of charge and I've found a couple of unexpected items about some of my ancestors - I'd recommend it completely. |

Visit Lancashire Libraries online and join. You do not have to live or work in Lancashire and its free. That will get you full free access to the British Library collection of 19th century newspapers. (National coverage) |
