Thanks for your reply.
The name of the person/persons is BLUMBERG. My great-great grandfather, George Frederick Blumberg was a british citizen born in St Petersburg around 1831 and I have reason to believe that his family had been living there some time. His father was named Victor George Blumberg, but I don't know his mother's name.
George Frederick eventually settled in London and married Rosalie Susannah Jane (nee Blumberg) in November 1852 and their marriage was recorded at the British Chaplaincy in St. Petersburg suggesting that there were still some family links to that area. I am trying to discover the roots of the family in Russia and particularly George Fredericks mother's name and whether he had any siblings? As they were of Anglican faith, the British Chaplaincy seems the best option.
Many thanks for any hints you can give me. How did you access your information?
Christine.

Please does anyone out there know how I can find details of baptisms, marriages & deaths recorded at the British Chaplaincy, St Petersburg, Russia in the late 1700's up until the mid 1800's?
Many thanks.
Christine.
