Have you found his death? Or have you checked 1851 onwards to see if he survived a bit longer maybe? |

My 3x grandfather Thomas Thorne born c1791 and listed as Thoren on the 1841 census is shown as being born outside the county of Sussex. He was a plasterer as were his son and his son alike. Thomas married Elizabeth Shellitoe in 1817 at All Saints Hastings. I have been given advice before on GR but is there any logical way to trace their origins if born elsewhere than Sussex?? I have heard about settlement papers but would they have applied to everybody moving into a large town like Hastings> |
