when you say under the "status heading," do you mean you were looking at the transcript or at the actual image of the census page?? |

While looking at the 1861 census online i found that under the status heading two of my possible ancestors were described as Copham. What does this mean? it has been pointed out to me that it looks similar to orphan. is this likely to be a mistranscription error or something else? help please. |
