I have exported my family tree from Genes and the file has been emailed to me as a Gedcom file. I am trying to import it into my Family Tree program. I can't open the Gedcom File, it keeps asking what program to use to open it and I put word so now it just gives the information as a word document and I cant import it into my family tree file. Can anyone help please. Chris |

I think you have posted this query twice Chris. Delete one of the requests. |

I suspect that you have tried to open the file by double clicking on it and as your computer didn't recognise the file type, you have now managed to associate it with word. |

Thanks for the advice, I have now successfully imported the file. |
