I had a similar problem, and I found it was because I was using Firefox (which apparently doesn't like Adobe) . My solution was to copy and paste the pdf. file into the address bar on Explorer - then it opened! Go figure... |

It's days like today when I despair of ever understanding technology! I will do as you suggest Christine and hope for the best! |

I don't know why you would be getting messages telling you to install the new version when you already have it. |

Just tried the website Jonesey recommended and got an error (1316) again. I looked up the remedy for this in their help section and it said I had a trial version installed that would need to be removed. Looked for this on "Add/remove programmes" and couldn't find it! It does however say that I have version 9.3.2 installed. In this case, why am I getting messages that I need to install it to view documents? |

You may have to uninstall the previous version before you can install the new one. |

Thanks Jonesey - will try it. If there is a compatibility problem, how do I fix it? If I had Adobe before, why isn't it incompatible with that? |

Although I already had Adobe on my computer, I have recently had pop-ups saying I need version 8 or 9 in order to view documents. I have tried to install this (version 9 I think), but each time, when installation is nearly complete, I get a message saying it could not be installed. What do I need to do please? |
