Would appreciate help if possible. I have an ancestor born in 1860 - could she have married in 1859? what was the consent age at that time? Thanks in advance for any help given. |

could you give the dates again as the dates you have given suggest she married before she was born |

Oh sorry.....Born 1860, first child born 1876. At that time could she have married around birth of child, ie, 15 or 16 years of age? |

The age was 12 for girls and 14 for boys but this had to be with parental consent under aged 21. |
