Before 1855, there was no requirement to register what the church liked to call "irregular" marriages, nor was there really any place to rego them. |

Have you looked at Scotlands people to see if the marriage was registered? Greta Green is in Scotland, so the marriage wont be on Freebmd or ancestry |

Is it the Tarpay?/Clark marriage that's on Ancestry? I don't think there would be anymore information that what is on there. |
