Sarah I have sent you a message with some info.

Sarah the marriage was in 1955 but there seem to be no children born Prangnell with the maiden name Irvine in subsequent years that I can find as yet.

I am in real need of help in tracing my Mum's family. My Mum and her siblings were placed in Dr Barnardo's when their parents split up in the mid 1940's. My Mum, born in 1939 tried to find her mum when she was 17 (so that would have been about 1956) and the message she got back from her Mum was "tell her to stop looking for me, I have no interest in them and my new husband and children don't know I was married before and don't know that I have any other children." I have found her 2nd marriage, and on the marriage certificate it states she was a divorcee - so her husband must have known she was married before but I can't find any other children at all and don't know where I can go to look. I have tried Find my past, looking under her maiden name and her 2nd husbands name, with no luck. I am going to try the newspaper archives on Friday next week to see if any in memoriam entries from family when she passed away - but other than that I don't have a clue where else to try. Her maiden name was Alice Edith Irvine, her first married name was Jones and her 2nd married name was Prangnell. Would be grateful for any suggestions on how to track the children she refered to when telling my mum to stop trying to find her. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
