If you are lucky you can zoom in close to the house number, or work it out from one that is numbered. I was looking for my dads childhood house he lived at number 32 but for some reason it wouldnt go down that far so I was stuck ouside 40. I saw which one it was but not close up.

I have been using google maps as well .
i put in my GG/Grandparents house number as well as my G/grandparents and grandfathers and was surprised to see that some were still there, but looking at them, it gave me a funny feeling .lol

I just wondered how they managed to fit everyone in those small houses. In the 1911 cencus my gran was the youngest at 7 and lived in 2 up 2 down house with 7 other siblings aged up to 25 plus her parents
