Andrea, as Maureen mentioned, it is most probably a transcription error. The maximum you should have on a page is 4 couples, so 8 names, so one additional name on the page maybe transcribed/indexed incorrectly. |

This happens quite frequently. The other name is there somewhere, it is a matter of doing a bit of lateral thinking and detective work to find it. Transposition of reference numbers happens a lot, 3 for an 8, 5 for a 3 and so on and so forth. |

Many thanks for all your suggestions, after KeithinFuairah's advice I looked at the information on free BMD and one lady's name in the list (not my lady) did not have a pair of glasses next to I then decided to look for this lady on the orginals and could not find her in that quarter so I expect the lady who I thought was mine was not. |
