good morning , i wonder if anyone can help me please . i have some ancestors from the village of tyneham in dorset . in the transcript of the parish register my ancestor moses vivian was born 5/7/1696 to joseph and ann alias hoggard ,at first i thought hoggard was ann's m/s, but on 25/8/1721 joseph was born to moses and ann alias hoggard . can anyone explain why hoggard was written as an alias for father and son , please ?ps the first ann's m/s was skiller . many thanks , angela |
