this is probably the other Silas in 1871, searched for Wren born 1866 +/- 5 years and keyword Ware, I have looked at the image and Lilas looks like Silas to me, the S is the same as the S in Selina, also Lilas would generally be a girls name I think: |

The 1867 Silas is mistranscribed Lilas on the 71 census. he's the son of Job & Selina. Siblings are Walter, Selina, George & Elizabeth. |

The marriage to Jane Harding was 1888 so he couldn't have been born 1876. |

HELP!!!! missing person! I am having trouble finding my relation in the 1901 census. i have managed to follow Silas wren through 1871, 1881 and 1891 census but when it comes to 1901 he cannot be found. There is another person by the same name from the same area that appears in 1901 records but there is an age gap of 10 years. I dont think this information could have been wrongly transcribed because if that were the case the childrens ages wouldn't match up. how can i clarify this information? any suggestions? |
