My gg grandmother was born in September 1851 at the Queens Barracks, Ipswich. Her father was a private soldier in the 2nd Dragoon Guards. |

Barbara, if they were in UK then they should have been recorded and be on Ancestry. |

Barbara, the only one I am coming up with in 1861 is mistranscribed as Butter but though the mother's name is Ann the father is Thomas, he is a Police Constable born Radford, Jemima is born Ipswich and the wife Ann born Scotland. There is a son called Francis born Ireland |

Thanks RutlandBelle this has got to be the right one. On her marriage cert. father's profession is given as Policeman, and his name is Francis yet on birth cert. he is a soldier with the name of Francis. He died in 1866 and he is a Chelsea Pensioner on death cert. with the name of Francis. The address on death cert is 4 Queen Street so this is the right one. |
