The only marriage and death I can find for the period 1926-1930 is for an
Isabella Smith or McCluskey who married Robert Moore a dock labourer.
Robert's parents were Henry and Margaret ms Stewart

There are a few births on Scotlands People for a Minnie Henderson, but unless I know who her parents are I'm stuck , this is driving me round the blooming twist , seem to be going round in circles with this one.

Just had to get that off me chest.

Hello Aileen,

The person who signed my grandad's death certificate was his son , my uncle who I didn't know existed until last year when I started trying to find my dad and his side of my family. Unfortunatley he passed away before I could meet him, but other members of my family say they do remember a Minnie but not much more.

I will keep looking there must be a record of here somewhere.

Minnie can also be a "pet" name for someone small or petite

It came into use as a pet name( earliest in Scotland later generally ) for Mary,Margery,Margaret. Anything beginning with M.

It was a Scot pet name for adult females, from husband to wife 'Ma Minnie'
Once it was heard around some mothers adopted the name as a proper name and many girls were named that way from the late c19.
The later the birth date of the child, the more likely it is to be 'standalone'

my great grandmother was registered on her birth certificate as Williamina (after her father William). On every other document I have for her she was named Minnie.
Good luck with your searh.

Thank you all once again for your inputs .
Been on Scotlands People AGAIN and Ancestry ( son in law has subs so at least I don't have to pay to look on there at the census) just to see if something jumps out at me but as yet nothing.

Just like to say to all who posted re Minnie Henderson, for some reason on her husbands death certificate her name was written as Minnie Henderson but was in fact Minnie Wilson, so I am so sorry for all who have been helping me look.
I have been given a great deal of help and some very kind person here on G.R has found her for me, so I would like to say a very big THANK YOU to Christine and also for the help in finding my Ann Stewart, well I hope it is her , I am pretty sure it is.

Best wishes
