On the 1901 census one of my ancestors jobs is given as Apprentic Rly Car Finishr. Anyone any ideas on what Rly could be? Is it railway as his father was a railway labourer on the 1911 census. |

Hanslope suggests that he worked in the Wolverton works of the London & North Western Railway, about 3 miles from Hanslope. Both Hanslope and Wolverton are now part of Milton Keynes. |
