Can anyone explain how a family can disappear for 30 years, I sent off for my grans wedding certificate to find out her dads christianname and address, I then found her paents on the 1911 census and tried to trace them back to 1901 to no avail, I then tried 1891 still no result, yet in 1881 they are there again complete with my gran older brothers and sisters, I have now traced them back to 1841. The problem I have got is that I have tried every means of tracing them in 1891 & 1901, as my gran was born in 1888 I feel that I need this information to verify that I have the right family,I cannot find her birth either, there are about 15 possibilities within the area, I have tried the armed forces and emigration lists, can anyone help. |

as you have her parents names you can use one of them as a checking point if you order one of the birth certs although with 15 possibilties this may prove costly why not try for one of the siblings births to see if that may help. |
