This man almost certainly served with the 6th Bn and was killed near the Hohenzollern Craters near Hulluch in France. |

As George says, the references next to the medals on the Medal Card are the references for the Medal Rolls which are held at the National Archives. Usually the only additional information they give is the battalion a man served in. |

Yes, I've looked at them but the information regarding the medals is all abbreviated and I have no idea what it means. If I could copy it across, I would but I don't know how - sorry. |

I wonder if anyone can help with military records for my Great Uncle, Harry Stoneham born 1893, killed in action 1916. He was in Royal West Kent Regiment. He is listed on Ancestry in the WW1 Medals Rolls Index Cards with a medal of some sort which means nothing to me. Can anyone shed any light on this? |
