Firstly - forgive me if this is not the right place for what I want to find out. On the Census information, could someone explain the ED, Institution, Vessel headings? Also, I have found that a great-grandfather, although alive at the time, was missed off the 1901 census. He fought in the Boer War so is this a possible reason that people got left off, or would they have mentioned that he was serving? Many thanks. Marilyn |
