I have a relative who died at sea in the second world war, I am afraid I dont know very many details other than he was Edward Douglas Ashford, known as Douglas, born 1900 Liverpool and died around 1943/1944 and is buried in Sierra Leone. I know his daughter was born in the UK in 1943 and he never met her. Where can I search to find his death? |

Thank you for that, thats really nice to know a location of the grave, I think his daughter may well be very interested in that, she doesnt know much about her father, and only knows her mum was given the opportunity to go and visit the grave but she never did. Thank you |

Victoria - I don't know if you noticed, but if you look up Edwin on the cwgc site, then click on the "BONTHE CEMETERY" link, where you'll read abt the runway, etc. Underneath that there's a button "Cemetery Photos" that has a pic of his grave. |
