Carol, I will have to get in touch with the LDS research center,my nearest one is about 25 miles away and they only open on a Thursday but maybe the next time I'm off work I'll arrange to go .
PP,yes I've found both set of Grand-parents on the 1911 census,

The email I received from the Pro Cathedral says " Unfortunately there is no trace in our records of the Marriage of Peter Graham and the marriage of John Berney." I have never been able to get a birth certificate for my Dad but did get a baptism record from Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Dublin.
I agree with you both, searching for Irish Ancestors is a nightmare, I have give up a few time but here I am again giving it another go ....lol

As you have discovered, it is difficult researching Irish ancestors. This is due to a lot of records being lost due to a fire at the registry and some barmpot stating that all records should be destroyed.
Have you looked at the index for Ireland. Most LDS family history centres have them Phone your local one and ask. In the phone book, they are listed under Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Dont worry, they wont try to convert you, in fact, they wont even mention religion unless you ask about it.
I have always found them very helpful, and their services are free to use.

I have been trying to get certificates for my Gr-Grandparents without any success, the GRO have been unable to find anything, the Church where they had their children baptized ( and lived close to before and after they married ) have no records, they advised me to contact the Pro Cathedral for records pre 1925, I have contacted the Pro Cathedral and they also have no records for them. This has been going on for years and I really don't have any idea what to do next.......Help.......Please......
