How do i get a German birth certificate?

Starting to research my partners tree & his grandmother Charlotte Karla Minna Martha Ahrens born 27 Jan 1906 Germany wed a Charles Goldsmith on 1st May 1948 in Hamburg. Charlottes address was 7 Hermann Loens Allee Hamburg Bramfield & Charles was English & listed as a Sgt reg no 14692755 R E (what woulf R E stand for?) and states he was on active service abroad BAOR and his father was also named Charles Goldsmith and retired. Its Charlotted im keen to get info on but she has no father named so where do i go from here?? Where can i get her birth certificate from?? any advice appreciated. |
