Unfortunately Ellis Island records don't start until 1892 and of course doesn't cover those who sailed directly to Boston, Mass. or Philadephia, :PA. |

Check out the Ellis Island website. I'm sure if your look it up, you will get a link that will take you straight there. Most people that went to American went through Ellis Island (New York). It has great documents and is free. I lived in the USA for 10 years and went to Ellis Island . Well worth checking out! |

On that 1913 arrival it says that the sons were born in America and had lived there all of their life. Jemima had been in America from 1909-1913. Evidently they had just gone to England to visit Jemima's father. |

I have found in the new York Passenger Lists JEMIMA MAWDSLEY and her two children, William Henry, 1909 and George A. 1910. They arrive in the USA on 7th Dec 1913. |
