Birth cert help please - updated extra inf 17/11

Its likely that the birth father signed a declaration to the effect that he was the father. As a divorcee she wouldn't have to give her previous married name but the birth would be registered in both mother and fathers names as they weren't married. |

One reason why there is a cross reference in the index is when the father and mother are not married(to each other) but register the birth together. |

In the volume page info of the birth registration. For page No given. Is it a number, or does it say ie see page J46. |

I have found a birth entry which states the mother's surname as either her maiden name or future married name. |
