The workhouse was often the local hospital |

The fact that someone died in the Workhouse doesn't necessarily mean they lived there. Quite often they were moved to the workhouse when they were in their dying days as this was the only place that could look after them. |

I have just foundthe death of my relative Anne stone in the workhouse in London in 1893. The letters OSP are written in he Parish column. Can someone tell me what tis means please? |
