I can't find any birth reference for Beryl Flower or Campbell in the right place or time frame.

Do you know when Beryl was born or who she married?

croygal

croygal Report 21 Oct 2009 21:22

Have you entered the names in the search trees facility at the top of the page? A few members have an Edwin Pearson c1849 in their tree.

I would agree with Janet. The birth record should show mothers maiden
name as Pearson, not Campbell. But mistakes can happen.

Did your grandmother have any siblings?

brummiejan Report 21 Oct 2009 16:31

Looking at your grandmother's birth record, it indicates that her mother must have been born Agnes Campbell as it records the mother's maiden name. Also, is the name Flower rather than Flowers?
Don't feel you are bad at this, it takes time and everyone gets tied in knots! Hopefully that birth cert will sort some stuff out for you.

If you send for Agnes and Charles marriage cert it will have both fathers names and occupations.

Or .......it will have fathers name left blank for Agnes father

Or...........it will have her stepfathers name and occupation.

Either of these will help you prove the Agnes found on the census is yours or not
