Thanks Jill, on the 1911 census he was a carter for a pianoforte dealer. |

No Jonesey, his wifes name is Annie,why she is staying with her parents on the night of the census ,I don`t know. |

No Walter was not in the Boer War, his wife Annie is staying with her parents Henry and Susannah Shelton in Wrottesley Wolverhampton. |

If he was in hospital or some sort of institution he may well have been recorded just by his initials. Also, to make it even more difficult, the initials may have been listed back to front - ie "L W" so it would not necessarily be easy to find him. |
