I have a John Arnold c1801 who maried Mary Allington 1806 at St Leonards, Shoreditch on 12th February 1827. John is shown to be a widower. The children are listed as John 1826, Samuel 1832, Ann 1834, William 1838, Elizabeth 1844 & Charles 1849. |

I did have most of what you kind people have found (apart from the 3rd marriage!!!). I'm still no nearer as Mary Ann Allington (wife no.2, I think?) is known and recorded as Mary/ Mary Ann/Ann/Maryann, if the first wife was Mary Ann Oliver I've got the same christian names, the only thing is I can't find a death for Mary Ann Oliver either which might confirm him as a widower. |
