I have found a birth for Ann Miller b.April -June 1944 Leicester on Ancestry but I am not sure if it is the person that I am looking for. I believe that the mothers name is also Miller but is there any way that I can confirm this without sending for a birth certificate? I am unable to find the birth on free bmd. I would be grateful for any help. |

The Ancestry record should show the mother's maiden name. |

You wont find the birth on FreeBMD as its not transcribing the 1940,s yet However the info would still be the same as you have found on Ancestry which shows the mmn. you have to buy the cert to see the full details |

Yes it is shown as Miller but I was wondering if there was any way of finding out the mothers christian names so that I am sure that I have the right Miller. There are several Millers born in Leicester about that time |

Ok thanks to all. I suspected that I would have to get the birth cert |
