Thankyou so much for your help.. I will definately go this way. Doing it my way is so hit and miss and taking up a lot of my time ( especially as I am looking into a second adoption..different person) |

I have all info on the adoption Or can get it quite easily. I have found the shipping records out of Australia and I have found her getting back on the ship in London. Unfortunately when the ship landed in fremantle she did not appear to be on board suggesting |

So adoption took place in Victoria. This may change the info. I have knowledge of how the adoptions are handled in NSW. The procedure does not work in NSW if the birth, adoption, etc took place in another state. Which in this case it did. |

So this person has the Supply Authority from Department of Community Services. This Authority entitles them to the following information. They may or may not have already accessed this info. |

I applied for my grandfathers birth certificate, as he was born after 1908 (1912) and all parties are now deceased, I still had difficulty getting the Certificate. I had to tell them his date of birth and date of death (had to send a copy of the death certificate), my mothers date of death, supply 4 forms of ID. After 9 weeks it eventually arrived. Even though I am now living next of kin it was not easy. |

Just had another thought. You are talking about a biological mother/father. Does this involve an adoption? If so there is more you can do. Let me know if you need this information. |

Aussietrish. You may not have access to marriage records after 1958 in NSW. Not even the people who run transcription services are allowed to have them. |

I have found more info on my friends biological mother and need to access the marriage index for NSW after 1958. We do not have enough info to be able to apply for a marriage cert. Without the info I cannot find his mother, whom we know married and went on to have futher children. Any suggestions please. |
