My g grandmother Janet Locheran, married 1878 aged 18 to George Jackson in Middlesbrough on her marriage certificate her father is listed as Lewis Locheran (shoemaker), I cannot find a census search for either Janet or Lewis Locheran. A kind member found a listing in 1861 for a Janet Loughrey bn Newcastle but her father is listed as William (shoemaker), his wife Jane and various other siblings all bn Scotland. I have ordered Janets birth certificate and the parents are shown to be William Loughery and Jane Loughery nee Cairns. I have searched Scotlands BMD and found banns posted for a William Lochrie and Jean Cairns in 1843. What are the chances that these are the people that I am looking for. |
