The workhouse was often the local hospital and does not mean they had to have lived there |

any deaths would have been in the Workhouse Infirmary and these would have been registered in the normal way .I have a couple of certs where the rellie died in the Workhouse Infirmary. |

Please can anyone tell me if deaths in workhouses were still registered as any other death and would therefore be in the BMD records? |
