right - back to the census - by the way that record for Alfred Garnet Troke is the correct one - 1833 - so he married Annie Hutton

ALFRED GARNET TROKE was the ancestor born in Paris and the date was 1883. Sorry about the confusion - this was my husband trying to be helpful and solve a long standing brick wall. Bless him!

No, Thomas didn't come from Dorset, he was born in Exeter, Devon and according to census records his wife was born in Liverpool. I can't find a marriage record for him and his wife Jane - think they probably weren't married. Jane was probably illiterate and signed her childrens' birth registrations with a cross. Her maiden name was give as 1. DIXON, 2. DICKSON and 3. DICKINSON. There is nothing straight forward about this family

Thomas and Jane TROKE lived Welshpool 1871
They moved to Buenos Ayres somewhere after 1871
In 1883 they were in Paris France ,Alfred Garnet Troke was born 1883.

Alfred and Jane Troke had 3,children
Caroline Lucy b.1865.Mary Ellen b.1867.George Thomas b.1869

My ancestors name was TROKE .Him and his wife lefty England en-route for Buenos Ayres (all this took place in 1800_1860) The next news I have of them is that they were in PARIS FRANCE , where my relative was born.
Now the thing I am trying to find is his Birth certificate or any thing similar

Greetings all, This is a long standing query!!!.
My ancestor was born in Paris , and registered in Paris around the 1860,s.
His parents had recently arrived from Buenos Ayres, previously from England!
Anybody got any Ideas???(Thanks)
