I'm thinking or uploading my Gedcom to an Ancestry family tree. Does anyone have any pointers or tips or even warnings? |

If you don't want anyone to see your tree then don't load it onto Ancestry....! |

Helen I have my tree on Ancestry and it is public. The only thing I make sure of is that I don't put any living people on it not even myself. I have never had any problems and in fact have had some really good contacts. Especially one in Australia. Between us we solved a big family mystery. |

Thanks Jonesy, mine all seem to be ag labs and servants, much like the ancestors of Parky.... |

To return to this subject: my tree is not at present in the public domain. I have however followed an Ancestry hint and contacted a lady in Australia who is most definitely, according to her own tree, descended from my great-great grandfather's sister. |
