My friend swears Paul reconised her today!

He had a male nurse today and he pulled a face at him suggesting he diddnt like him.(this is just like the old Paul we know)

Doctors told her that they will be transfering him to a specialised Hospital soon. More long term...
We just hope it's not too far away.
This cant happen untill he has recovered from the diarrhea that he contracted while being in this Hospital.

Bring back the old Matrons i say!!!! and in house cleaners!(not contractors)
You used to go into Hospital to be made better! not catch God knows what while in there!

OK rant over...

Stay strong Paul we all rooting for you darlin x

They took the breathing tube out today and he's now breathing on his own. So thats one hurdle.

He's lost an awful lot of weight and his eyes sometimes open, although my friend says...theres no one there.....yet!

Fingers crossed for more good news.

Hi Gerri,

At least your friend has let Pauls father know. He comes across as being emotionless and uncaring, I'm surprised he actually went to the hospital. I hope it's not too long before Paul wakes up and is on his way to a full recovery, please keep us updated.

Hi everyone

No change with regard to Paul. It's still a waiting game. No sedation but still not waking up. The machines still breathing for him.

Pauls Wife did get his Dads phone number. She found his Sisters number in an unused drawer and asked her.

She phoned him and told him of the situation and he came to the Hospital the next day.
He stood over Paul and went on and on about how his new wife wasnt having any of this as SHE wasnt being included!

He asked the nurse questions about his sons condition even though my friend had already told him all she knew.
The nurse just refered him back to Pauls wife....She told him that my friend had been at his side all this time and knew everything that there was to be told.

He diddnt touch his Son or talk to him or ask how my friend was. He diddnt even ask how his 4 grandchildren were!

My friend did the decent thing in contacting him but i think now she should tell him to S#d off!
He told her that he would pop in later on this month as he had a BBQ invite to go to in the area!

You sure can choose your friends but NOT your Family!

Prayers for Paul please.

Hi,

Get your friend to contact Derbyshire police on 0345 123 3333. Due to the circumstances they will be able to carry out a search on the voters register and with you having both his and her name should be able to find them (as long as they are registered. They should then get an officer to attend the address and advise of the situation. The search covers the whole country not just Derbyshire.

Hi liz47

No no news yet. Paul is just the same.
Heavely sedated after having a (scuse spelling) traciotome fitted.
This puts the tube thats breathing for him into his throat instead of in his mouth. His poor mouth is very sore.

I have told my friend of everyones help on here and she told me to thank you all for your concern.

She is going to phone the Belper Police and see if they can help.

She says her head feels fuzzy and dreamlike. I have told her to go to the docs and maybe get something to help her sleep through these nasty times.

Their children are coping in different ways....but mostly in denial.
Three are teenagers and the eldest is married with a child.
A lovely lovely Family that always help others.

Her youngest son had an appendisitus this week so she was running from one ward to the other! (he's home now)
Then the freezer packed up! lost all the food!

Thats three things! Lets hope it's the last!

A neighbour popped in to give her £200 to buy a new freezer and a few of us other neighbours gave her money to fill it.
This worlds not that bad is it?

Prayers for Paul please

Now you have narrowed it down to a local town if no one on this site lives in the area, google the library name and they should be able to look it up in the local BT directory.
