Hello, I was on site last week re problems in not finding a name that should be on it (Baverstock Robert b1860 a widower Newcastle & Robert jun son b1896 Gateshead) I have gone through every one of the name country wide with only Rob. Juns.cousin Josephine b Gateshead1896coming up. I have tried just putting in Robert for those dates & scouring them within N'cle area & Gateshead area.Wild cards different spellings etc have yielded nothing. It could be that they just did not 'do'the census. If anyone else can come up with another idea I would be delighted. Thank you |

Hello everyone,Thank you all for your replies, but I have all of the info. that you kindly looked up for me.It is really annoying as Robert Sen.lived & worked in the same area from an early age(he was my G grandfather)He lost his mother, wife, daughter in 1901 & a son in 1902 leaving him with my grandfather.I have looked for them under cousins/in laws/uncles aunts /etc as the census was on a Sunday in case they were visitors.Although I would have liked to have seen my G Grandads writing(he was literate) I have spent a long while on this search so after tonight I think I shall leave it , I am from Newcastle so am familiar with the area.Who knows after a long rest they may pop up! Thank you all again-but if anyone comes across them!! |
