Hello each, does anyone out there know of a good site (from experience preferabley) where I can get help in obtaining copies of my Grt uncles wedding cert. He was a serving British soldier in France in 1917, and married a local girl. He stayed in France after the war, The GRO at Southport could'nt find his record. I can't speak French and was wondering how I proceed from here. Any experience of this folks? |

French certificates are held locally so you need to know where he married |

Thanks 'Potty' but having tried 3 times with your french address--without luck, I gave up. maybe I kept getting the address wrong--BUT BOY--thats a long and complicated one. Do you have to have those comma things the french have above certain letters? Cheers! |
