Was he married on the l9ll census - if so, were there any children? Have you tried searching for them? Perhaps he died on a visit to Ireland? I believe there is a member on one of the boards who does Irish look ups. |

Not a solution, but just to add that deaths are registered where they take place, not where the deceased usually lived - so if he went to visit relatives in Ireland and died during the trip, the death would be registered in Ireland. However, bodies are then often brought home for burial - have you tried burial grounds local to his address? Also, checking whether he registered his wife's death would give you a place to start looking at the electoral rolls. If he was still alive, you could check forward - if not, check backwards? |

I think you're right, he would be deceased by now. If still alive he'd be 136! |

I have checked all search sites for the death of my Gt. grandad Patrick Mcilvenny d.o.b 1873 Belfast. i think he would be dead by now but no trace of his death any ideas where i can look now. |
